Criticism[]

There are many things EA were criticized for.

Decline of Quality in games[]

What seems to happen with some of EA's later games, is that EA gets an idea for a game, but then enforces strict deadlines, fires some of the employees working on the game, and then makes deadlines harsher, while removing content, thus, the game gets launched after development is done. A main criticism of this, is that EA ends up releasing games with little to no content in the game, or features removed, and then either re-added in a future update, or sold as DLC/Part of an expansion pack. Which resulted in massive negative feedback from some fans of some franchises.

Treatment of Employees/Labour Pratices[]

As mentioned above, EA sometimes tends to set strict deadlines for game releases. Although this can lead to employees getting overworked. EA was especially critisized for this in 2004, when employees worked up to 100 hours a week. "From 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM", not just at crunch times with releases of products.
